Teen Choice 2011 Red Carpet Thoughts

HEYERRYONE.

I should be writing my summer reading report project thingy, but i'm here. Aren't you glad? I didn't bother watching the teen choice awards last night. Almost as if I had already let go of that part of my childhood. Too bad i'm 16..hehe. Well these three are who I would  regard to as my best dressed of the bunch. Why yes, I definitely looked up the red carpet even though I didn't watch the actual, typical, predictable show.

I loved Selena Gomez's dress because it almost reminded me of a dreamy goddess. Problem with that is, she has done that many times before. I love the dramatic white line, but I feel she could've worn something more risky than her typical safe outfits. I think Zoe Saldana is just adorable. She brings the fun to what is supposed to be a fun, enjoyable teen awards show. These types of shows are where you can take risks, not go safe (cough selena cough). The gold accents her gorgeous skin tone and the belt adds personality to her perfect waist. Nina Doprev plays up a more fun, young vibe with her attire. She had a nice nautical, vintage vibe flowing from her bouncy skirt. The ponytail ads the perfect fun, bouncy vibe she had going. I feel like she could've done a lot better with the shoes however. Playing up a random color like red or yellow could've looked nice.

I noticed a trend in very pale girls wearing very pale dresses. It deeply saddened me because it washed them out so deeply and the dresses would've looked stunning on someone darker or in a different color on them.

Some people might ask me why I didn't put Blake Lively or Avril Lavigne on best dressed. While I thought Blake looked very nice, I thought it wasn't appropriate for the event. Avril really stepped up from her usual, but it still doesn't make the cut.

In conclusion, I wasn't too impressed with the Teen Choice Awards.

The Long Awaited Blog Post

It feels like forever since we've last updated the blog, but I (Pensudar) have been waiting to get my hands on this recent shoot I did a few weeks ago with a local photographer. This was a kind of fun and whimsical shoot we put together for the fun of it...let me know what you guys think!

L'introduction.

Natalia.

Hey guys. I'm Natalia. Pensudar is one of my best friends.  I  am into vintage and artsy styles of clothing. I am very into my photography and I also love to make beaded jewelry. I plan to go into photojournalism when I'm older. And  my all time favorite quote is
"
Fantasy love is much better than reality love. Never doing it is very exciting. The most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet." -Andy Warhol

L'introduction.

Pensudar.

Bonjour. I'm Pensudar (Pen-SOO-dar) . I'm a fashionable girl with a very unique, funky style.  My best friend is Natalia, and we have decided to start this blog together. I swim competetively and love doing crazy things with my friends. I hope to go into journalism someday not quite sure exactly what to focus on. The two options that jump out at me are fashion journalism and activism. The quote that gets me is
"I don't want to decorate the world, I want to change it."
